From the moment the program loads up, you can tell from the GUI that this is one quality product that you should be on your list. I have found in AceThinker's Video Editor, a masterpiece of software engineering that appeals to the novice user, yet is chockful of features and delivers. Other software are written with novice end-users in mind and forego functionality for ease-of-use. Some software are written by programmers who think all users are programmers. AceThinker's Video Editor strikes me as a rare piece of software that strikes a balance between GUI design, usability and yet yields a high quality performance in output. I have used MANY video editors in all my years in IT. It's also about the interface and the over ease of use experience.

It's not just about the high quality and 'lower' sized conversions from MP4 to GIF. Using the VIP higher quality conversion setting yields a 140Mb file, but that GIF file, when played looks indistinguishable from a video! The same MP4 when uploaded to an online service either results in a small sized GIF with inferior visuals, or results in a LARGE 300+ Mb file. For example, a 23-second waterfall MP4, converted to GIF with AceThinker's Video Editor, at Standard compression, gives me a 41Mb sized GIF. Never once did I get a three-digit Mb GIF file. To my surprise and joy, it managed to produce animated GIFs at good, reasonably sized files of between 5Mb to 81Mb with Standard settings. I then stumbled upon its MP4 to GIF feature. Finally I realised that because I had bought AceThinker's Screen Grabber Premium, that I was gifted with a one-year's subscription to AceThinker's Video Editor.

I tried at least 10 online and offline services and even one or two offline graphics editors which are famous brands. Even up on 300+ Mb in some cases, which is ridiculous and puts paid to my idea of streaming my website's background.
